CAT is one shot at IIMs but MBA is a broader ecosystem. The right college for your goal matters more than the brand name.

If your MBA goal was Finance — consider CA / CFA / CMA route instead. CA qualification (3–4 years) gives stronger finance credentials than an MBA from a mid-tier college, with direct hiring by Big 4 and capital markets firms.
Why this works: CA + 2–3 years Big 4 experience + a short executive MBA from IIM later is a stronger finance career combination than rushing into a weak MBA now.
