   Entry exam: University entrance / CUET

   Engineers dominate CAT applicants (60%+) but all streams get in. Work experience (1–2 years) before MBA improves profile for IIMs.

   MBA / PGDM entrance exam

   1 yr

   Quant, VARC, DILR preparation for CAT/XAT; domain-specific prep for SNAP/NMAT/IIFT

   Entry exam: CAT

   CAT: 2.5 lakh appear, ~4,000 IIM seats. SNAP: SIBM/SIIB. NMAT: NMIMS. IIFT: international trade focus. MAT/CMAT: 600+ colleges.

   MBA / PGDM (2 years)

   2 yrs

   Specialisation: Finance / Marketing / HR / Operations / Strategy; summer internship in Year 1

   IIM A/B/C: ₹25–27L fees, median CTC ₹34–36L. Tier-2 IIMs: ₹14–20L fees. NMIMS/SIBM: ₹14–18L fees.
