BiPC → BVSc → Veterinary Doctor / Government Veterinary Officer
BiPC students can pursue BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, 5.5 years including internship) after clearing NEET-UG for state veterinary college admissions, or through specific state veterinary entrance exams. Veterinarians work in government as livestock officers and veterinary surgeons (₹5–10 LPA), in the private sector with pet hospitals and dairy/poultry industries (₹4–8 LPA), and in research at IVRI and animal husbandry departments. Pet ownership is growing fast in Indian cities — urban veterinary practice is becoming highly viable.
