Commerce → CA / CMA / CS → Finance Professional

Commerce students (and graduates from any stream) can pursue the CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification from ICAI — India's most respected finance professional qualification. The journey: CA Foundation → CA Intermediate → CA Final, with articleship training under a practising CA. CMA (Cost and Management Accountant) from ICMAI follows a similar structure for management accounting. CA pass rate is around 10–15% at Final level — it's rigorous, but successful CAs at Big 4 firms (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC) earn ₹8–20 LPA as freshers, and senior partners earn ₹50 lakh to ₹5 crore annually.
