Alternative track from Taking a gap year after Class 12 — missed exams or needs another attempt: Structured drop year (dropper batch) at a coaching institute or self-study at home. Target: JEE Main 95+ percentile for NIT, or 99+ percentile for IIT. Use the year to fix weak subjects systematically — not to study everything again.
