This path involves working on cargo ships sailing internationally — salaries range from ₹4–8 LPA as a junior officer to ₹25–50 LPA for Chief Engineers and Captains. It is physically demanding with long months at sea, but offers high pay, tax-free income while at sea, and the opportunity to see the world.
